Kent v South Africa: Parking Information

Please find below informationwhich wehope will make your visit to the St Lawrence Ground, Canterbury, for the Kent v South Africa three day match, more enjoyable.

A large attendance is expected for this match, particularly on Friday,which hasled to a revisionof some of our usual match day operations, most notably car parking. Please therefore read the following carefully. If you know of people coming who may not have internet access, we would appreciate it if you could pass on this information.

Car Parking – Day One, Friday 13th July.
Approximately 100 on the day car parking spaces will be soldto the St Lawrence Ground on Friday. These cost £15 each and are sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Within this allocation is a range of disabled and blue badge parking spaces. Pre-sold members’ parking will also be available on the ground.

Car parking at Simon Langton Girls Grammar School, Old Dover Rd, will only be available for season long pass holders, hospitality guests (who already have their parking passes) and the Club’s Life Members. No on the day parking will be available on Friday at the School. There is limited capacity as it is a school day hence the restrictions.

Old Dover Rd Park & Ride, is approximately a 10 minute walk up the road from the ground. It costs £2.50 per day, including the bus transfer. If you travel on the Hospital Bus it will stop beside the entrance to the ground off Nackington Rd. The driver will drop you there on request. The reverse trip can be made by waiting at the drop off point for pick up.

Street parking is available in the streets off New Dover Road.

Car Parking – Day Two & Three, Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th July.
Approximately 100 on the day car parking spaces will be sold on the St Lawrence Ground on Saturday and Sunday. These cost £15 each and are sold on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Within this allocation is a range of disabled and blue badge parking spaces. Pre-sold members’ parking will also be available on the ground.

Car parking at Simon Langton Girls Grammar School, Old Dover Rd, will be available for all with over 1,000 car parks available. The daily charge is £8.00 with entry from Old Dover Road. For those with mobility challenges, a golf buggy is available to transport you to the ground. The walk from the bottom field car park is approximately 100 metres.

Old Dover Rd Park & Ride, is approximately a 10 minute walk up the road from the ground. It costs £2.50 per day, including the bus transfer. Food & Beverage Provision & Rules
You are welcome to bring in food and beverage supplies for the match. Alcohol is limited to one bottle of wine or four cans of beer per person.
On site, we have a range of options for purchasing food and beverage including:
* Carvery meal in the Cornwallis Room on the second floor Colin Cowdrey Stand. Served during the lunch interval. A public bar is also available in the Cornwallis Room.
* Jonesy’s Kitchen in the Les Ames Stand – this is a public bar by the Nackington gate and offers a range of hot meals and sandwiches, plus cakes and cream tea in the afternoon. Options include Lamb Casserole with mint, Cottage Pie, Roast Lamb (Sunday), Ham and Chicken salad. Priced from £7.75 – £9.50. To book a table phone 07887 974 304 and talk to Carol.
* A range of burger vans are spread around the ground selling a range of burgers, chips etc.

Tickets are £10 for adults (£15 for the Woolley Stand) £5 for Under 16s when booked in advance. The price goes up as the gates open (9am each day) to £15 for adults (£20 for the Woolley Stand) £8 for Under 16s.
