Kent Women vs. Surrey Women at Beckenham postponed
Kent Cricket is disappointed to confirm that Kent Women’s Women’s London Championship (WLC) opener against Surrey at The County Ground, Beckenham has been postponed.
A new date will be finalised in the coming weeks and will be confirmed in due course.
Kent Women’s Head Coach, Dave Hathrill, said: “With very limited player availability, it’s a real shame that we are unable to face our oldest rivals at Beckenham this weekend.
“Whilst we enjoy and celebrate the achievement of our talented squad receiving both regional academy and first-team places across the country, we have to liaise with regions to work on player availability for Kent.
“Unfortunately we’re unable to field a side on Sunday and with the weather forecast as it is for the area this weekend, we all felt it would be better to re-arrange this fixture for another day.”
Entry to all Kent Women home matches are £5 at the gate or FREE for all valid Kent Members & Six Pack Holders – Kent Women matches do not count as one day of the Six Pack Ticket Package.
Members & Six Pack Holders just need to show their valid card at the gate.
The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence will once again host a full England Women’s One-Day International (WODI) match in 2022, with a Royal London WODI against India under the lights in Canterbury on Wednesday, 21 September.
