Kent Women WLC schedule confirmed
Kent Women will begin the defence of their Women’s London Championship (WLC) title with the visit of rivals Surrey Women to The County Ground, Beckenham on Sunday 17 July.

The 50-over competition replaced the Women’s County Championship for the home counties after the ECB dissolved the competition at the end of the 2019 season, and has been won by Surrey Women (2020) and Kent Women (2021) in its burgeoning history to-date.
After the visit of Surrey, the Horses will make the trip to Falmer to take on Sussex on Saturday 30 July, before an away match at Middlesex on Tuesday 16 August, with their final match of the round robin league-formatted tournament again taking place at The County Ground, Beckenham against Essex on Friday 26 August.
With founding members of Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Essex for the 2020 edition of the tournament, Sussex joined the competition for the 2021 season, which Kent won. The Horses secured the 2021 title using a squad of 19 players – 17 of which were homegrown talents.
Kent Women Head Coach, Dave Hathrill, said: “As a group, we’re really excited to defend our 50-over title.
“Whilst matchday squads may be fluent with player availability uncertain, the whole group have shown that they contend for silverware after our T20 campaign that so nearly bought us yet more success.
“I have the utmost confidence in our young, talented and hungry wider squad to make the step up when they are required to, and I hope that as many supporters as possible come and see us in action in the WLC.”

Entry to all Kent Women home matches are £5 at the gate or FREE for all valid Kent Members & Six Pack Holders – Kent Women matches do not count as one day of the Six Pack Ticket Package.
Members & Six Pack Holders just need to show their valid card at the gate.
The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence will once again host a full England Women’s One-Day International (WODI) match in 2022, with a Royal London WODI against India under the lights in Canterbury on Wednesday, 21 September.
