Kent fast bowler Amjad Khan (pictured) took five wickets and Makhaya Ntini four as Durham were dismissed for just 121, after winning the toss and electing to bat at Chester-le-Street.

Khan was the pick of the attack, with figures of 5-43, while Ntini, in his last LV= County Championship appearance, returned figures of 4-53. Matt Coles took the only other wicket to fall.

The in-form Ben Stokes was top-scorer for Durham, with 27, as Kent take maximum bowling points.
