Lord’s Taverners renew Partnership with Kent County Cricket Club

Kent County Cricket Club has pledged its support to the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, the Lord’s Taverners, for the 2014 season.

The new partnership will see Kent Cricket help raise awareness of the charity’s programmes while raising valuable funds to give more young people a sporting chance. The partnership includes:

· Players and coaching staff using Lord’s Taverners bat grips, which will be available for supporters to purchase in the Kent Cricket shop throughout the season.

· Collections for the charity’s kit recycling scheme, SOS Kit Aid, at the NatWest T20 Blast game v Sussex.

· Bucket collection at a televised NatWest T20 Blast game.

· County academy coaching session to promote awareness at clubs in Kent that receive cricket kit and equipment from the Lord’s Taverners.

· Lord’s Taverners minibus presentation at a home LV= County Championship game followed by an academy coaching session with a local club.

Jamie Clifford, Chief Executive of Kent County Cricket Club, said on the partnership:“We’re very happy to be supporting the Lord’s Taverners this season. The charity does fantastic work within disability cricket throughout the county and we’rethrilled that we’ll be making a substantial contribution to the charity in 2014.”

From the 1^stteam right down to the Academy the whole club will be getting behind our charitable cause. The Lord’s Taverners, the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, will donate over £3 million this year to help give disadvantaged and disabled young people a ‘sporting chance’.
