Matt Coles nominated for PCA Player of the Year 2015

Spitfire Kent Cricket Player of the Year Matt Coles has been nominated for the 2015 PCA Player of the Year award.

The popular 25-year-old was the Kent supporters' choice after taking 100 wickets in all formats in 2015 and also picked up Spitfire Bowler of the Year on Tuesday evening.

The PCA Player of the Year award is voted for by pro cricketers and the other nominees are Ashwell Prince (Lancashire), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire) and Chris Rushworth (Durham).

Previous Kent winners of the Reg Hayter Cup include David Fulton in 2001 and Martin van Jaarsveld in 2008.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 29 September at a VIP ceremony at Tobacco Dock in London.

Coles, one of several Kent Cricket Academy graduates in the first-team squad, is currently sixth in the overall county MVP rankings.
