Multi-Faith Quiet Room officially opened at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence

Club officials, local community leaders and leaders from multiple faiths, including MP for Gillingham & Rainham, Rehman Chisti, joined together at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence on the opening day of the 2024 county cricket season to mark the formal opening of Kent Cricket’s new Multi-Faith Quiet Room.

The new facility was funded by a grant from ECB and is part of the Club’s programme of ground improvements designed to create a more welcoming environment for players, staff, Members and supporters.

Located in a previously under-utilised area inside the main entrance of the Ames Levett Indoor Sports Centre, the space was designed by Lee Evans Partnership and constructed by Kent Cricket’s Elite Partners, WW Martin.

The Multi-Faith Quiet Room will be open every matchday for players, staff & supporters to use throughout the season, and will also be open on non-matchdays whenever the St Lawrence Clinic is open.
