Muyeye earns first Hundred contract after Men’s Wildcard Draft

22-year-old Kent batter Tawanda Muyeye will feature in The Hundred for the first time this August after having been selected by the Oval Invincibles in the Men’s Vitality Wildcard Draft.

All eight franchises in The Hundred have now confirmed their full squads as the Vitality Wildcard selections in the men’s competition and the final round of signings in the women’s competition have been announced.

Muyeye, who already has a career T20 strike rate of 138.80 & three 50+ scores, will join Sam Billings & Jordan Cox at the Oval for the hundred-ball tournament.

Daniel Bell-Drummond has also been picked by London Spirit & Fred Klaassen by Manchester Originals – both players returning to the franchises that they had played for in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

Bell-Drummond will team up with fellow Kent opener Zak Crawley. Kent’s 2023 Vitality Blast signing Kane Richardson is already confirmed to be returning to Birmingham Phoenix.

Kent’s Men’s players join a host of Kent Women stars to take part in the Hundred – eight Horses are now confirmed to be playing in the tournament, which begins on 1 August.

In the last round of women’s selections, Kent Women off spinner Kalea Moore was picked up by Southern Brave, after having been with Northern Superchargers in 2022.

Also drafted in the Vitality Wildcard stage this year is former Kent Men ‘keeper-batter Ollie Robinson, who joins the Superchargers.
