Play Abandoned, Monday 7th April

Play was abandoned on the first day of Kent’s three day first class fixture against Loughborough MCCU. Rain throughout the morning and from mid-afternoon had made the outfield unplayable and the umpires therefore brought the fixture to a close for the day.

Attendance at this three day, first class season opener from 7 – 9 April is free for all, with car parking available on site. As well as the Members’ Pavilion bar area, the Les Ames Stand is open for the duration, providing an opportunity to enjoy the new Spitfire Bar, with a new menu, which includes classics such as ‘Boundary Catch’ fish and chips.

Team lists and scorecards, will be available from the Kent Cricket Shop, and supporters may notice continuing work in preparation for the start of the Championship season – including work to the Chiesman Pavilion first floor, Underwood Knott Stand and refurbishment of all seating and the Les Ames Stand boxes.
