Wet conditions ruined any hopes of play onWednesday morning

Kent v Hampshire LV= County Championship, day two in Canterbury.

By Mark Pennell

Heavy overnight rain followed by early morning showers put paid to the entire first session of Wednesday“s play between Kent and Hampshire.
Match umpires Nigel Cowley and Rob Bailey inspected conditions at noon and decided there could be no resumption and therefore invited the players to take lunch at the normal time.
Should there be no more rain, they will re-inspect the ground at 1.10pm.
