Redevelopment project update

Thursday 2nd December 2010

Despite the recent spate of poor weather, work is continuing at a fast pace on the redevelopment project. There are visible signs of change to the Annex, Pavilion, and Dressing Rooms. In addition some major landscaping work has changed the look of the Nackington entrance.

All of the buildings (the Chiesman Pavilion, players“ area and annex) have now been stripped out to a shell to enable survey work to be undertaken. As well as this, the end of the Chiesman Pavilion has been demolished to enable foundations for the new entrance to that building to commence.

Scaffolding has been erected to enable access to the roof, and external walls of the buildings, so that repairs and new works can be undertaken to the external fabric.

Meetings have been held with all of the Statutory Authorities, who will provide the new services infrastructure to the scheme and plans move on quickly for the installation of these.

Sections of the new floodlighting continue to be manufactured in China and Italy.

Above you can see the latest Computer Generated Image of the ground from above. As you can see, the St Lawrence Ground is going to be a much smarter place in the future. Some of this will be completed after 2011, but all the plans are very exciting. Membership and ticketing packages for the new season are already available. You can find out more by clicking here.
