Ryan Davies appears in England Ashes First Test programme

Kent's England Under-19 wicketkeeper Ryan Davies has been tipped as one to watch for the future in the Ashes First Test programme.

The 18-year-old gloveman signed his first professional contract last year and made his first-class debut last month, deputising for England international Sam Billings.

In the piece, the Margate-born 'keeper compares his style to James Foster and Craig Kieswetter and credits high performance director Simon Willis and ex-Kent and England gloveman Geraint Jones as major influences.

The 18-year-old is hoping to don the gloves for England in the Under-19 series against Australia starting on 4 August.
