Sam Billings Receives Supporters’ Club Trophy

Sam Billings was presented with the Supporters' Club Trophy for 'Uncapped Player of the Season' ahead of Kent's Yorkshire Bank 40 match against Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Sunday.
The presentation of the trophy is one the Supporters' Club makes every year, and in this case the trophy represents Sam's performance in 2012.
It is voted for by the Supporters' Club members, so it is a prestigious trophy for a young player to win. There are some very famous names on the trophy, so let's hope that Sam goes on to emulate the success of some of the previous winners.
The presentation was made by Brian Rudd, President of the Supporters Club, just before the start of the match at the Nevill. Sam went on to bat really well in the match, opening the innings with a solid 57. Let's hope he is now inspired for the rest of the season.
