Kent Cricket can confirm that following a washout on Day One of Kent Second XI vs. Essex Second XI, the match will move to The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence for Day Two, which will start at 14:00.

The Battle of the Bridge turns T20-style this June

Kent Spitfires will face Essex in a T20 showdown back at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence at a new start time of 18:30 on Wednesday 7 June:

Ticket holders for this match also gain complimentary access to South East Stars vs. Central Sparks in the Charlotte Edwards Cup T20 competition from 14:00 on the same day.


Entry for Kent Second XI vs. Essex Second XI will be free to all, with no tickets needed for entry & the gates at the Old Dover Road side of the ground open for spectators to enter the ground. The Oriole at Lime Tree Café will be open during the day (under its normal opening hours of 08:00 – 16:00) providing refreshments.

At the end of play each day, spectators are asked to leave the ground via the vehicle access gates behind the Underwood & Knott Stand.

Originally set to be played at Polo Farm in Canterbury, this match will now be the Second XI’s first match at the home of Kent Cricket in the 2023 season.
