Seriously ill children enjoy One-Day win

Kent Cricket was delighted to welcome a group of seriously ill children and their families for VIP matchday hospitality at The Spitfire Ground.

Several youngsters were welcomed to the boardroom for brunch and afternoon tea during the Royal London One-Day Cup win against Glamorgan.

The Kent Spitfires squad met the children, signed autographs and posed for photographs to make it a even more memorable day as Joe Denly hit a record-breaking 150 not out.

Kent is the first county cricket club to take part in the Barrie Wells Trust charity’s Box4Kids initiative which provides quality time for each child and their guest, away from the day to day challenges they face with their illnesses.
