Shepherd Neame Spooks Ale on sale

Monday 27th October 2014

Kent Cricket sponsors Shepherd Neame have launched their devilish new brew Spooks Ale just in time for Hallowe'en.
The beer has a biscuity palate derived from blending three roasted barley malts in the mash, contrasted with the citrusy hoppy bitterness from a fruity hop which is added four times during the brewing process.
It is a dark ruby colour and the nose is a mix of the malty flavours derived from the mix of ale, brown and crystal malts and the fruity aroma you would expect from a beer brewed in the heart of the Kentish hop growing region.
As with all Shepherd Neame ales, it has been brewed in oak mash tuns and fermented out using our own yeast to produce a wonderfully flavoursome beer at 4.7% abv.
Available throughout October, also in 500ml bottles and nine-gallon firkins.
