Stevens named in England squad for Hong Kong VIs

The England selectors today announced a seven-strong squad, including Kent“s Darren Stevens (pictured), to take part in the Hong Kong VIs competition next month.

Commenting on his inclusion, Darren Stevens said: “I“m delighted to be going to Hong Kong with England. I enjoyed a great Twenty20 Cup this year and I hope that I will be able to continue my good form in this upcoming competition. We have a strong squad and hopefully we can replicate the form of last year and defend our title.”

Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka will also take part in the competition which will be staged at Kowloon Cricket Club from October 31 to November 1.
