Stevens Second in FTI MVP County Cricket Rankings for 2012

Kent all-rounder, Darren Stevens has been named the second most valuable player in the FTI MVP rankings, across all forms of county cricket for the 2012 season.

The 36 year-old was named by the Professional Cricketers' Association assecond only to Somerset’s Peter Trego.

Stevens finshed the seasonwith a combined total of 441 points across the three forms of the game, with Trego 60 points ahead in first placefollowing an excellent season.

Stevens was named the eighth Most Valuable Playeracross Friends Life t20,third in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition and 36th in the LV= County Championship, leading to his secondplace overall. He is now up to fourth on the all-time list, having scored 1023 runs and having taken 62 wickets across all forms this season while Worcestershire’s Moeen Ali is in third position with 1106 runs and 50 wickets.

Meanwhile, itit has also been a good season for James Tredwell,wholies in tenth position in the England ODI FTI MVP rankings for 2012.
