Unchanged Lineup for Kent Spitfires to play Glamorgan

Thursday 12th June 2014

Men’s First Team

Kent have maintained faith in their 13 man squad, who have contested the last three NatWest T20 Blast fixtures, named again to face Glamorgan in Cardiff Friday night. In a very fast turn around from last night’s six wicket loss to the Essex Eagles, Head Coach Jimmy Adams has stated that, ‘we are very keen to get back in winning mode and believe we have the personnel in this squad to do just that.’

Head to head encounters between Kent and the only non-English first class County are completely in the Spitfires favour, played four, won four. The most recent matches were in 2011 with the away match won by six wickets, Kent Spitfires scoring the required 155 in 19.4 overs, with Sam Northeast topping scoring with 33. The home match was won by five wickets, Kent passing the Glamorgan Dragon’s, as they were known then, total of 138 in 19.2 overs. Sam Northeast, 39*, again the top run scorer.
