Tracey has been MP for Chatham & Aylesford since 2010. She was Sports Minister from 2015 to 2018 and prior to that was a Member of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Select General Committee.

In 2021, she was Independent Chair of the Fan-Led Review into football governance.

Tracey holds various sport-related non-executive directorships, including being the Club’s nominated non-executive director on the Board of the Oval Invincibles Hundred team.
