Billings top-scores for Sixers in Big Bash opener
Tuesday 19th December 2017
Kent vice-captain Sam Billings top-scored for Sydney Sixers with 32 off 21 balls in the Big Bash League opener against Sydney Thunder.
Thunder won with a last-ball single to secure a five-wicket win inspired by Shane Watson’s 77 of 46 balls after some tidy spin bowling restricted Sixers to 149/9.
Billings, batting at 5, rotated the strike well and scored two fours and a six in tricky batting conditions.
The Sixers will look to bounce back on Saturday (23 December) against Perth Scorchers at 5am GMT with live TV coverage on BT Sport 2 in the UK.
