New Zealand paceman Adam Milne returns to the squad after a thigh injury and faces a late fitness test.

Seamer Charlie Hartley is also added to the squad as Kent face a pivotal double-header with a trip to Taunton to face Somerset on Saturday (4pm, live on Sky Sports Cricket).

Head coach Matt Walker said: “It’s going to be tricky in terms of managing the tiredness and travel but it’s the first time we’ve had it this year.

“We finish late on Friday and then travel overnight to Taunton. The boys are resolute and we need to make sure we prepare ourselves and get enough rest and recovery before Saturday’s match.

“We’ll pick the best team to win each game depending on ground size, surface and fitness.”

Gates open at 5pm. Woolley Stand tickets have sold out but advance ground tickets remain available online and on the gate. Parking is available at Simon Langton Girls Grammar School (CT1 3EJ) or Park & Ride (CT1 3EW).
