Community Cricket Update

Further to the recent Government announcement on exercise and sports activities, Kent Cricket is in talks with the ECB to confirm what this latest guidance means for the game of cricket at all levels across the county.

We know how keen everyone is to get back to training and playing cricket as soon as possible but we also acknowledge that the health and safety of the Kent Cricket family and our wider community remains a top priority.

For the moment, we would continue to recommend that Clubs and Schools follow the current ECB guidelines which includes a suspension of recreational cricket.

The situation continues to change quickly so please bear with us and we will communicate further updates where necessary via our website, newsletter and social media platforms as soon as possible.

In the meantime, Sport England have published general guidelines in a great easy to read guide.

Finally, please be aware that to the deadline to submit any applications to Sport England’s emergency fund is 11.59pm Thursday 14th May. Please make sure that if you are wishing to apply to this fund, you have done so prior to this deadline.

Thank you and continue to stay safe.
