Bexley into Vitality Club T20 Regional Finals

Former Kent all-rounder Adam Ball was in excellent form for Kent League champions, Bexley, as they progressed to the Regional Finals of the ECB’s Vitality Club T20 competition.
The Bexley Club hosted the Area semi-finals and final, and came out on top from their two matches.
In their semi-final against Cuckfield they scored 123 for 5, Ball 25 not out, Aiden Griggs 40, George Haley 24. Ball then took three wickets, and former Kent spin bowler and Bexley captain, Adam Riley two, as the visitors could only reach 118 for 9.
Bexley were convincing winners in the final, thrashing Wimbledon Cricket Club, ( who had beaten Havant in their semi final), by 70 runs. Once again Ball played a big role in Bexley’s victory, scoring 42, George Haley was 80 not out, in their total of 180 for 3. Wimbledon were then shot out for just 110, Freddie Foster 3 for 22.
In the South Regional Finals Day, which will be played at Basingstoke Cricket Club, on Sunday August 28, Bexley will play Hornchurch Cricket Club in their semi-final, whilst the other semi-final will be between Bradnich Cricket Club. from Devon, and Banbury. There will also be a North Regional Finals Day at the same time.
Bexley have also reached the semi-finals of the ECB National 40 over cup competition and will play Potterne Cricket Club, from Devizes, Wiltshire, at their Manor Road ground, on Sunday, August 21, with the winners appearing in the Final, at Lords, on September 18.
Three Kent players, currently play for Bexley, as their club side. Young fast bowler, Jas Singh, who has played for the Kent first team in both the championship, and One Day cricket, Academy scholar Harry Turner, who has played for Kent’s Second team, as has Bexley wicket-keeper Ben Aldred.
