…The Kent Spitfires return to Canterbury for two big matches!

CRICKET’S Twenty20 Cup is the fast and furious, family friendly, cricket tournament where you can watch all the big-hitting, wicket-chasing, smart-catching, fast-moving stars of Twenty20 cricket. The Kent Spitfires are a fine Twenty20 side. Rob Key’s men won the tournament in 2007 and followed it up by reaching last year’s final. How will we do this year? Well, with your help, there is no reason why we cannot enjoy another great T20 campaign.

We have two great games lined up this weekend at Canterbury and would love big crowds:

Middlesex Panthers – Friday 29 May – starting at 5.30pm
A mouth watering fixture and a repeat of last season“s final. What could be better than finishing your week at The St Lawrence Ground for top quality Friday night Twenty20 cricket? The weather forecast is good and we are expecting another good crowd. Do you need any further incentive to come along? Well, how about this. Everyone who attends the match will be entitled to a free ticket to the second day of our LV County Championship Match against Derbyshire on Saturday, August 1.

Sussex Sharks – Sunday 31 May – starting at 3pm
Local rivalries are taken up again in the sunshine, on Sunday, with Sussex Sharks making the short journey to Kent. Everyone who attends this fixture will be entitled to a free ticket to the third day of the LV County Championship Match against Derbyshire on Sunday, August 2.

Both offers are part of a drive to encourage supporters to enjoy all forms of the game. To claim, simply keep hold of your ground entry ticket and go to a match programme seller to get your free ticket. (You may only collect your tickets from a programme seller on the day of the Twenty20).

Kent’s Director of Business Development, Jamie Clifford, said: ’The purpose of the promotion is twofold: Firstly, it is good to say thank you to our continued loyal supporters and, secondly, we are all really keen to encourage supporters to come to all forms of the game. Of course, the Twenty20 Cup was created by ECB with this in mind. My hope is, that when Championship cricket returns to Canterbury at the end of July, we will see some new faces at The St Lawrence Ground.’
