Alex Blake returns to his roots to present Bromley District Cricket Awards

Kent Cricket fielder of the year Alex Blake went back to his roots to present the prizes at the Bromley District Cricket Awards.

The event at Hayes Cricket Club was attended by more than 120 players and parents, showing the strength of the grassroots game in metropolitan Kent.

The Bromley-born all-rounder presented the trophies and spoke to the budding cricketers about his experience of playing county cricket.

During the evening, an auction was held in aid of the Ben Daniels Memorial Fund (https://www.justgiving.com/bendaniels).

Bromley District Cricket is delighted to work alongside Paul Daniels, Ben’s father, in all that he does for the development of cricket in Bromley and Kent and we very much support the hard work he does raising funds for CRY.

All players that book onto courses that Bromley District Cricket run have a £1 contribution to Ben’s trust automatically included in the cost of the course.

Bromley District Development ManagerKen Slaterpresented Paul Daniels with a cheque for £350 for Ben’s CRY fund as a result of these courses.

A lucky player was delighted to win a signed Kent Spitfires One-Day Cup shirt.
