Academy quartet to play at Bunbury Festival

Kent Cricket Academy quartet Jordan Cox, Tom Davis, Joe Gordon and Julian O’Riordan have been selected for the London &East squads to play at the Bunbury Festival in July.

Sandwich Town wicketkeeper-batsman Cox, Folkestone bowler Davis and Tunbridge Wells batsman O’Riordan have been called up for the Under-15 squad and Canterbury batsman Gordon will play in the Under-14 competition.

All four players came through Kent’s age group programme and the coaches are delighted to see recognition for the county’s emerging young talent to play against the best budding cricketers in the country.

High performance manager Jason Weaver said: “Our Academy programme is designed to prepare the players on and off the pitch and experiences like the Bunbury Festival are an integral part of that.”
