Solley’s Ice Cream now served at The Spitfire Ground

Monday 11th July 2016

Solley’s Ice Cream is now served at The Lime Tree at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence as part of a new partnership.

Founded by Stephen Solley in 1985, Solley’s Kentish Ice Cream is made on the fourth generation family farm at Ripple, near Deal.

The county’s largest independent ice cream maker will supply products including the Wild Strawberry and Cream flavour which scooped the 2015 Great Taste Award.

Aside from traditional vanilla and hot chocolate, other farm-assured varieties include Sweet Black Cherry, Iced Coffee, Ripple Raspberry and Kentish Honey and Honeycomb.

Keith Morrison, General Manager and Stephen Solley’s son in law, said: “We’re a proud Kentish family farm so it’s great to be involved with the county’s summer sport.

“I hope Kent supporters enjoy our flavours in the sunshine at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence this summer.”

Kent Cricket commercial director Emma Santer said: “So many Kentish people loved the taste of Solley’s ice cream growing up so it’s great to have another Kent company involved with the club.

“As the county’s summer sport, we hope the sun shines this season and our supporters can enjoy a scoop at the cricket.”
