Adam Ball named best Academy Scholar

Kent County Cricket Club is delighted to welcome Myrna Gray back to the St Lawrence Ground today. In memory of her late husband, John Aitken Gray, Myrna set up a scholarship of £500.00 per annum, for 10 years, for the "best Academy Scholar." All-rounder Adam Ball has been honoured this year and received his Trophy during the tea interval.

Commenting on Adam“s award, Academy Director, Phil Relf, said: "Adam has had an outstanding season. He was part of the County under-17 team that won the ’double’ this summer and has played several game for the County second X1. Many supporters would have seen him play an excellent innings against Essex at Tonbridge School. Adam is the latest recipient of the John Aitken Gray Trophy, which is presented to the best Academy Player of the Year. We are extremely grateful to Myrna Gray for her continued support of our young players and it is always a delight to see her at Canterbury."
