Alex Blake: We can go far in the NatWest T20 Blast

Kent Spitfires batsman Alex Blake believes a second dramatic win in eight days is the ideal springboard for another cup run in 2015.

The Spitfires reached the semi-finals of the Royal London One-Day Cup last summer and Blake's career best score helped continue Kent's perfect start in the NatWest T20 Blast in 2015.

The 26-year-old Kent Cricket Academy graduate said: “It’s nice to score a career best and even nicer to do it on TV.

“Hampshire are a good side and would have been favourites to see the game out but we heard it was a pretty good wicket so we were always in with a chance.

“Sam was at the other end doing a great job and I managed to get some away to see us there.

“At the start I want to see myself in and get Sam on strike but we finally got in a position where I could go and it came off.

“We seem to be on a bit of a roll now, so there is a bit on confidence in the camp. We look like a pretty strong outfit. We are confident of going a long way in this competition.”
