Carlos Brathwaite: Kent feels like family already

West Indies T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite saluted the Spitfires team spirit as Kent outclassed Somerset in an eight-wicket win at Taunton.

The big Bajan all-rounder followed two wickets in the win at The Oval on Friday with a superb 4/21 in the West Country as the Spitfires made it two wins from two matches in the Vitality Blast.

Kent’s Carlos Brathwaite said: “I tried to keep things simple with my bowling and of the 24 balls I sent down probably 20 were bowled hard into the deck.

“I am very lucky to have joined a dressing room that feels like a family and I hope I can continue to contribute to victories. Today was almost the complete team performance.

“The coaches have been very relaxed and just told us to go out and express ourselves. As a bowling unit I felt we were very professional today and the early wickets were crucial.”
