A moment with Michael

We recently caught up with our ECB Pitch Advisor, Michael Llong, to talk about the current climate for the staff and volunteers that we rely on to prepare pitches week after week.

When we spoke to him a couple of weeks ago we were experiencing torrential rain, thankfully we had the foresight to ask him about how to preserve outfields in the extreme heat.

Michael has been in post with Kent Cricket as an ECB Pitch Advisor since 2016. However his full time employment is as Head Groundsman of a school with 100 acres of ground to maintain – including 5 cricket squares, as well as numerous football/rugby pitches, tennis courts
