Charity Cricket Match – National Autistic Society

On Sunday 27th August 2023 at Chevening Amblers ground in Chipstead, Sevenoaks, an amazing game of cricket along with an extremely fun social day is going ahead. All are welcome, there is a chance to learn something new from coaches or to watch the kids’ game in the morning. A BBQ and more food and drinks will be available too and many smiling faces.

The Metronomes CC, a travelling cricket team from all over the UK, play games across England and Wales to raise money for autistic charities as well as raising awareness and understanding for Autistic people. So far, the club have raised over £4000 and have a charity cricket auction taking place right now.

Chevening Amblers CC will be the opposition on Sunday, the club was saved from being closed by Sheena Recaldin, who was given an award by MCC to commemorate the fact she saved a grassroots club. Playing this game will help put valuable funds into the club and help it for future years.

If you want to go down and support, they look forward to seeing you. Entry is free, any donations no matter how small will be very welcome but not mandatory. Food and drink will be available.
