Female Coaching Group Qualified

Tuesday 6th September 2022

This summer, Kent Cricket piloted a ‘Female Only’ Foundation One Course for fourteen women who have now qualified as cricket coaches.

The county are committed to growing the number of female cricket coaches in the county and we were pleased to offer heavily subsidised places to aspiring female cricket coaches within the club network.

The ECB Foundation I Course was delivered by a female tutor and supported by Sonya Dey, our newest female non-executive director at Kent Cricket.  The course offered a blend of e-learning and face-to-face modules, and was designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to coach cricket sessions that are purposeful, active, safe and enjoyable.

The fourteen newly qualified female participants, will now be qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and without supervision. They will return to their clubs, schools etc to be female role models in the cricket community.

If you are female and looking to qualify as a cricket coach, please contact Helen Fagg for further support doing so.
