Kent Cricket Secondary School Girls’ Indoor Cricket Competitions 2023

We are pleased to confirm the Secondary School Girls’ Indoor Cricket Competitions taking place in 2023. Details of both competitions including the fixture schedule and how to enter are below.

Chance to Compete

This is a new competition for 2023 and is open to State Schools Only. The main aim of Chance to Compete is to provide a fun and encouraging environment for girls to play cricket. This is a friendly competitive competition, and you don’t need to have any previous cricket match experience to enter. There will be an U13 and U15 (Year 7-10) competition with 2 group stages for each. There will be an East and West cluster and the top 2 teams from each cluster will be invited to attend our county final on March 14^th, 2023.

• Year 7 U13 – Year 10 U15
• 8 aside competition max 10 people  

Indoor Eights

This is Open to All schools and more recently this competition was named The Lady Taverners. The Indoor Eights competition was run last year and is a competition that is organised by the ECB, meaning that schools will attend the county group stage leading to a county final. The school that wins the County Final (16^th March 2023) will then be invited to a regional event, with the chance to get through to the National Finals. Last Year Ashford School’s U15s went through to the National Finals and were crowned U15 National Champions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for girls to play some fun competitive cricket.
