Kent Women’s Club Cricket League Round Up

We are well underway with the Women’s Club Cricket Leagues in Kent. Here is a summary of what has been going on in the season so far.

  • KENT WOMEN’S PREMIER LEAGUE (KWPL) – There are 7 teams competing in this league and all have completed 4 fixtures, with the exception of The Mote CC women, who sit at the top of the table having completed 6 games. It is Canterbury CC women, however, who are the only unbeaten side, with 4 wins from 4. Daisy Conway from The Mote leads the way with 157 runs and Lucy Blincoe from the same club has taken 9 wickets already this season.

  • KENT WOMEN’S DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (KWDL) – There are 8 teams competing in this league, 5 of which are new to women’s hardball, excitingly starting up sections this year. Gravesend CC have fitted the most fixtures in so far with games played varying between 1 and 4. It is, however, Town Malling CC who sit atop of the table with two wins. Sophie Maunder from Sevenoaks Vine has scored the most runs so far with 81 and Erin Oliver from the same club has taken 6 wickets.

  • KENT WOMEN’S SOFTBALL CRICKET LEAGUE (KWSCL) – The 2023 season sees 6 groups of 4 teams across the County, as the league has doubled in size from last year. Each Festival Group (East, Central, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, North & London) are underway with their festivals and are all vying to qualify for the County Finals being held at Penshurst Park CC in September.
