Volunteers Day 2022

Monday 3rd October 2022

Grassroot Cricket Awards Winners 2022

Coach Awards 2022

Alan Albury Awards 2022

Kent Cricket’s annual Volunteers Day took place on 27th September 2022. Winners from three different sets of awards were invited to the Spitfire Ground St Lawrence to enjoy day 2 of the LV=Insurance County Championship game between Kent and Somerset.

Awardees were recognised in a ceremony during the lunch break and enjoyed a wonderful day of hospitality watching Kent establish a huge (and in the end unassailable) lead in the final match of the 2022 season. The awards ceremony celebrated winners of The Alan Albury Awards (managed by the Kent Recreational Cricket Welfare Trust), as well as The Grassroot Cricket Awards and The Coach Awards both of which take place in every county cricket club and culminate in national awards run by the ECB. Kent Cricket seeks nominations for the Grassroot Cricket Awards and Coach Awards from clubs, leagues and affiliated teams from across the county each year, and 2022 saw more nominations than ever before.

Volunteers Day is one of the annual highlights in Kent Cricket’s calendar and part of our continued commitment to recognise and celebrate the efforts of those whose hard work and dedication to the game are invaluable to recreational cricket.
