Concert ticket sales outstrip early expectations

Monday 30th March 2009

WITH tickets having been on sale for just 6 days, the early signs are suggesting bumper crowds for the concerts to be given by Sugababes on Friday 26 June and by James Morrison on Saturday 27 June.

Commented Kent Director of Operations Jon Fordham: ’Tickets went on sale last Tuesday afternoon and, to be honest, I expected sales to get off to a slow start given the current economic climate. We read almost daily in the papers that consumers are holding onto their cash longer than previously and waiting almost until the last moment to make their purchases.

’This is certainly not our experence and our ticket office is really busy at the moment. It seems that the people of Kent, and beyond, are really looking forward to both concerts.’

The Club expects to make announcements in the near future concerning the support acts for both events.
