Club Membership remains the best and most cost-effective way to enjoy every day of Kent cricket in 2023, with all formats included as well as complimentary entry to England and Sri Lanka’s Women’s One-Day International this coming September at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.
As well as providing details of a number of smaller projects, including the installation of permanent fencing & gates to replace temporary structures that have been in place since 2014.
All work being done is a part of the Club’s commitment to creating a welcoming environment, in-line with Kent Cricket’s EDI Action Plan.
Other improvements include:
- A new match officials area that will have inclusive changing facilities
- A multi-faith room
- A Changing Places toilet alongside an accessible viewing platform by the Leslie Ames Stand
Computer-generated images, produced in partnership with Lee Evans Partnership, provide insight into a vision of improvements to The Spitfire Ground over a five-year time period.
The Club is now focused on identifying funding available for each element of these projects, which we anticipate will be implemented as part of a phased development plan.
In addition, under previously approved plans, work has already begun that includes a new modular multi-purpose gym for the Club’s professional & age group players ahead of pre-season training in the New Year.
The Club is also looking into improving covered & uncovered seating areas around the ground.
