Denly defeated on debut for Brothers Union in Bangladesh

Kent batsman Joe Denly lost his opening game in the Dhaka Premier League for Brothers Union.

Denly made his debut after arriving over the weekend for a month-long spell in Bangladesh for some competitive cricket.

His side won the toss and batted first against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi atBangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan No 4 Ground in Savar.

Batting at number five, Denly made 30 off 55 balls in a total of 219 for 8 off 50 overs.

In reply, the visitors passed the total with eight balls to spare with the Kent man bowling Sheikh Jamal skipperTushar Imran.

Denly finished with figures of one for 36 off seven overs.
