England Women face ODI decider against South Africa on Sunday

England Women will face a decisive one-day international on Sunday after South Africa levelled the three-match series with a fine five-wicket win at SuperSport Park, Centurion.

Kent and England skipper Charlotte Edwards (pictured above) hit 45 before a fine return catch by Sune Luus dismissed her after she steadied the ship with vice-captain Heather Knight (61) when England slipped to 16 for three.

Lydia Greenway’s patient 23 gave England stability before some aggressive lower order hitting from Danni Wyatt (40 off 27 balls) and Danielle Hazell (20 off 10).

In reply to England’s 262, South Africa started slowly but were able to accelerate with the luxury of wickets in hand to secure their first win against the tourists since 2004.

England’s seamers toiled with the spin of Hazell and Knight picking up two wickets apiece and another from Wyatt before they passed the target with seven balls to spare.

The decider will be played at 8am GMT on Sunday 14 February with live coverage on Test Match Special at www.bbc.co.uk/cricket
