Friday 21st November 2014

KENT spinner James Tredwell bowled two maidens in eight overs in England’s opening one-day warm-up win versus Sri Lanka A in Colombo.
England are set to play seven one-day internationals as the start of the run-up to the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The hosts won the toss at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground and chose to bat.
Tredwell bowled two maidens as 33 runs were scored from his eight-over spell at an economy rate of 4.12.
The Ashford-born off-spinner, who recently extended his Kent Cricket contract, also claimed a catch off Ali to dismiss Niroshan Dickwella.
Moeen Ali was the pick of the bowlers with 3/29 off nine overs. Steven Finn took two for 42 as Sri Lanka A made 198 from 43 overs.
In reply, England posted 145 for two with half-centuries from openers Alastair Cook and Moeen Ali before rain intervened.
The tourists won by 56 runs on the Duckworth-Lewis Method.
