Joe Root stars in adverts filmed at The County Ground, Beckenham

England vice-captain Joe Root stars in a new advertising campaign filmed at The County Ground, Beckenham shown during TV coverage of England's Test series in South Africa.

The world number two Test batsman joined cricketers from Old Wilsonians and HSBC Cricket Clubs to shoot a series of idents for Vitality Health and Life Insurance that are appearing on Sky Sports' live cricket coverage this winter.

Kenny Maxwell, Jonathan Rodda, Lawrence Roots and Matt Abbett and the company's trademark dachshund dog filmed a series of shorts playing at the ground.

More than 25 crew members joined the cricketers, Root and his manager, former England player Neil Fairbrother and groundsman Paul Whittaker even made a cameo appearance.

The Ashes and County Championship winner flew by private helicopter from Yorkshire for the six-hour shoot and signed shirts and some items for the cricketers which were auctioned to raise funds for Bromley District Cricket's chosen charityPAPYRUS.
