Joseph progressing well out in Antigua

Wednesday 10th March 2010

Kent fast bowler Rob Joseph (pictured) is making excellent progress as he continues his rehabilitation, following shoulder surgery last September.

The 28 year-old is in his native Anitgua, along with team mate Phil Edwards, and is undertaking a period of outdoor training as he continues to build up his fitness in readiness for the start of the season.

Joseph and Edwards are being put through their paces in the West Indies by bowling coach, Geoff Arnold, and physio Nimmo Reid. Both are undertaking beach runs at 6.30am and then training in the afternoon. In addition to the training, Phil is playing club cricket for Mahico in their 15 over competition.

The four members of the Kent first-team are being well looked after by Jacqueline Court-Thomas and are staying at the villas at Sunset Lane, Dickinson Bay. Working closely with Nimmo, Jacqueline is making sure that the players adhere to their strict diets and generally helping them to get ready for the 2010 season.
