Kent in Group C of the 2010 ECB 40 League

Sunday 18th October 2009

The draw for the 2010 ECB 40 League has taken place at Lord“s with 21 teams drawn into three de-regionalised groups.

Kent are in Group C along with Friends Provident Trophy winners Hampshire, LV= County Champions Durham, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire and Scotland.

Commenting on the draw, Kent head coach, Paul Farbrace (pictured), said: “We are in a tough group, along with six other very good sides, but you would expect that. We certainly don“t have anything to fear as we have a very good one-day side. It“s a shame that we don“t have any real local derbies but you get that in the Twenty20 Cup.”

The 18 First-Class Counties, Scotland, the Netherlands and the ECB Recreational XI will compete for the ECB 40 League – the 40-over competition in top flight domestic cricket in 2010.

Three groups of seven are taking part with teams playing each other home and away. Group winners, and the best second placed team, will qualify for the semi-finals with the final taking place at Lord“s on Saturday 18 September.
