Kent sign sponsorship deal with ECL Telecom

Monday 19th April 2010

Kent County Cricket Club has today signed a new sponsorship deal with ECL Telecom that will see the media, telecoms and technology specialists’ logo carried on the front of the Clydesdale Bank 40 shirt.

The club has been working hard to secure increased levels of commercial investment and this latest sponsorship deal with ECL Telecom is a further step towards achieving that goal.

Chief Executive Officer Jamie Clifford was pleased to have secured the deal, saying: "Completing our shirt sponsorship for the 2010 season is great news for the club. I am delighted that ECL Telecom has decided to join Shepherd Neame and Demelza as club shirt partners. This sponsorship deal is a good example of the commercial partnerships that we are looking to forge at KCCC.”

ECL Telecom is a technology company and has been both the supplier and maintainer of KCCC“s telephony, wifi and audio systems since 2007. They specialise in helping customers solve technology problems and they put the customer at the centre of their thinking, which ensures that solutions are realistic and cost effective. Their Managing Director is Edward Richardson, the son of former Kent and England batsman Peter Richardson.

Commenting on the new tie-up, Mr Richardson said: "This is a superb partnership for ECL Telecom, to get exposure with the club at a time where things are developing well both on and off the pitch. I am delighted that ECL Telecom will be lending their support to Kent County Cricket Club throughout the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition and I will of course be following their fortunes closely."

The first match in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition is on Sunday 25 April, starting at 1.45pm against Warwickshire.
