Kent County Cricket Club today announced the signing of South African Charl Langeveldt for their forthcoming twenty20 campaign, which starts on Friday 3rd June.

The right arm seam bowler is due to arrive in time to take to the field against Somerset at Tunbridge Wells on Friday.

Langeveldt has played 6 Test matches and 72 ODIs for South Africa and has just completed a stint with IPL finalists Bangalore Royal Challengers.

Director of Cricket, Paul Farbrace commented; "I am delighted that Charl will be playing for Kent. His considerable experience in twenty20 will give us a boost, and we look forward to welcoming him into the team."

Charl Langeveldt commented; "I am really looking forward to my time with Kent and the opportunity to play in the Friends Life t20."
