Kent v Leicestershire: Day Four Match Report

Kent Take Maximum Points at The Nevill

Having enforced the follow-on on day three, Kent dismissed Leicestershire for 362 in their second innings, leaving them with a minimum of 74 overs to reach a target of 155 on day four at The Nevill.

A formidable partnership from Joe Denly (74) and Sam Northeast (62) saw Kent reach a total of 135 before Claude Henderson for Leicestershire ended up taking four wickets; but it was too little too late, and Martin van Jaarsveld made 16 not out and with James Tredwell took Kent home to157-5.

Picking up the maximum 24 points, Kent move up County Championship Division Two above Derbyshire, leaving Leicestershire bottom.

Result: Kent 459 & 157-5, beat Leicestershire 251 & 362 by five wickets
