Kent won the opening match at The Spitfire Ground by eight wickets before Sam Billings returned from a spell in the Indian Premier League with Delhi Daredevils.

The 24-year-old England One-Day star said:“It’s great to join back up with the lads. They’ve had a fantastic start to the year and I’ve been keeping tabs on Kent from the heat of India.

“Speaking to the guys, it’s been the best pre-season and start they’ve been a part of.

“I hope I can come in and add to it. It was a special experience in the IPL and it has improved me as a player.”

Mitch Claydon and Adam Riley miss out with a side strain as Kent play their 19th county T20 at the venue.

Direct trains are running from East Kent to Beckenham Junction and back for the match.
