Kent under 17s aim to make it a League and Cup double

Tuesday 1st September 2009

Kent under 17s take on Durham in the Final of the County Championship, which starts today. The match will be played over two days at Arundel Castle, starting later this morning at 11 o“clock. The good form shown by the young cricketers is another indicator of the strength in depth that Kent currently enjoys – during a season that has seen many youngsters break into the KCCC first team. The Under 17s have had a particularly successful year -earlier this week they beat Surrey by eight wickets to reach the final of the ECB Cup Competition.

Jason Weaver, Kent Cricket Board“s High Performance Manager, said: “It is especially pleasing to note that the key performances have been shared around and that it is a young side. It bodes very well for the future. I am sure everyone connected with Kent cricket wishes the team well for an exciting end to the season.”

Match Details will follow here. Come on young Kent!
